Educators learn to teach with AR, VR, 360° Videos & 3D (Bio-)Printing

Training Teachers for the Digital Transition

The ARtemis project, co-funded by Erasmus+, helps teachers use new technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), 360° videos and 3D printing in their lessons. Europe is committed to helping people gain more digital skills, and ARtemis is contributing by training teachers. Staff of the Green Hotspot in Nijmegen participated on behalf of Yuverta.

Social Inclusion

The project focuses on teachers in green vocational education and training (VET) institutions like Yuverta to integrate these technologies into their lessons. This allows them to develop innovative and inclusive ways of teaching. The project ensures that everyone, including people with special needs such as dyslexia, can participate. For example, the project tested providing visual information through mixed reality instead of just text.

Towards a More Attractive, Future-Proof Education

ARtemis also supports sharing knowledge between schools and companies so that everyone can learn how best to use these technologies. This not only makes green VET up-to-date and relevant, but also more attractive for teachers and students. In this way, the project also supports green professions, such as horticulturists/gardeners/urban greeners and florists, by helping them to develop digital skills that are important in their field of work.
